So whatever you want they are always available for you. Here, just I want to share you about what I have and I hope it's useful especially in your English Lessons.

TRY OUT AKAN DIMULAI SENIN, 13 DESEMBER 2010

Hello Everybody! Menjelang UN, kemungkinan akan dilaksanakan akhir Maret, Pemerintah melakukan beberapa kali TRY OUT (Uji Coba UN) untuk pelajaran Mat, B.Ind, B. Ingg, dan IPA. So, let's prepare ourselves to face UN. Here, the tips how to answer B. Inggris:
1. Kenali jenis teksnya:
* Notice: To warn/ advise (memperingatkan/ menyarankan)
- makna (the meaning), where do you find (dimana)
- (lihat contoh soal pada tayangan sebelumnya)
* AnnouncementTo announce/ tell (mengumumkan, menyampaikan)
-To whom (kepada siapa), in what occasion (dlm rangka/ situasi apa)
- time (waktu), place (tempat)
* Invitation: To invite/ to ask (mengundang)
To whom, in what occasion, time, place, the correct statement (pernyataan yg benar)
* Short message: To whom, The content (isi), what for (untuk apa), the correct statement.
Example:
To: Intan
Hi ...girl! Are you feeling better now? there's good news from school today. Pusat Ilmu will hold a book fair in our school next Saturday. There will be some interesting books to buy. The lists of books had been already distributed. I will show you tomorrow if you come. All prices will be cut off until 75%. It's fantastic, isn't it? I'll buy some.

Coba amati pesan tersebut, apakah:
- To tell ( memberitahu) atau,
- To ask ( meminta) atau,
- To give information/ to inform ( memberi informasi) atau,
- To promote ( mempromosikan) ?
* Greeting Card: to congratulate (memberi/ mengucapkan SELAMAT)
To whom, in what occasion, Who congratulated (Siapa yg mengucapkan selamat)
* Advertisement (Ad): To promote (mempromosikan), to offer (menawarkan)
What product (produk apa), price (harga)
* Label : To give detailed information about product
What product (produk apa), where can we find label (label ada di mana, tentu terdapat di kemasan produk/container), the correct sentence/ statement.
* Personal Letter/ E-mail: to tell experience (menceritakan pengalaman), to tell a plan (memberitahu rencana), to express gratitude (berterima kasih), to share (berbagi).
- Who sent (siapa yg mengirim), what is the relationship (hubungan pengirim dgn penerima surat), the correct statement.
* Descriptive Text: 
Purpose :to describe something (menjelaskan/ menggambarkan sesuatu)
-the text tells about/ topic (teks menyampaikan tentang/ topik), the main idea (ide utama), the word refers to (kata mengacu/ menunjukkan siapa/ apa), the same meaning/ synonym (kata yang sama),
-information in the text (informasi lain dalam text)
* Report Text: 
Purpose: to give actual/ detailed information about something ( memberi informasi rinci/ aktual)
-the text tells about/ topic (teks menyampaikan tentang/ topik), the main idea (ide utama), the word refers to (kata mengacu/ menunjukkan siapa/ apa), the same meaning/ synonym (kata yang sama),
-information in the text (informasi lain dalam text)
* Recount Text: 
Purpose: to tell an experience in the past (menceritakan pengalaman di waktu lampau)
-the text tells about/ topic (teks menyampaikan tentang/ topik), the main idea (ide utama), the word refers to (kata mengacu/ menunjukkan siapa/ apa), the same meaning/ synonym (kata yang sama),
-information in the text (informasi lain dalam text)
* Procedure Text:
Purpose : to show/ tell how to make/ do something (menyampaikan bagaimana membuat/melakukan sesuatu)
- the materials (bahan-bahan), equipment/ tools (alat), the steps/ procedures (langkah-langkah)
-information in the text (informasi lain dalam text)
 *Narrative Text:
Purpose : to entertain/ to amuse (menghibur)
-the title of the text (judul cerita), the main idea of (ide utama dari), the word refers to (kata mengacu/ menunjukkan siapa/ apa), the same meaning/ synonym (kata yang sama),
-information in the text (informasi lain dalam text), moral value/ what can we learn (nilai moral/ apa yg dapat kita pelajari dari cerita)

2.  Baca secara keseluruhan (boleh 2 kali), dan gunakan kosakata yang kamu kuasai untuk menentukan isi teks.
3. Untuk teks rumpang (isian teks), pahamilah terlebih dahulu pilihan/ opsinya, kemudian pilih yg sesuai.
4. Untuk menyusun kata yang diacak (arrange the jumbled words):
    - Kalimat pernyataan : susunannya adalah Subject Predicate Object Keterangan.
    - Kalimat Perintah/ imperatif: susunannya adalah Predicate Object dan seterusnya.
    - Note: Keterangan dapat juga berada di depan kalimat.
5. Untuk menyusun kalimat yang diacak (Arrange the jumbled sentences):
   - Perhatikan hubungan kalimat yang satu dengan yang lainnya.
   - Perhatikan pemakaian kata ganti, seperti: he, she, they, I, you, it, we

Here are the examples:

Note: There are two subjects (ada 2 subjek): Joe, his father, two verbs ( 2 kt.kerja/ predikat): made, built, two objects (2 objek): path, a bridge, one conjunction (1 kt. sambung).
So, Joe made paths  and his father built a bridge over a pool in their garden

02. Choose the best arrangement of words to make a good sentence.


a. 1 - 4 - 7  - 2 - 3 - 5 - 6
b. 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 7
c. 4 - 1 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 3 - 7
d. 7 - 1 - 4 - 2 - 3 - 6 - 5

Note :It is imperative sentence (Kalimat perintah)
          Put your stuffs(barang-barang) in the upper part(bagian atas) of my wardrobe carefully
03. Choose the best arrangement of sentences to make a good text.1. The other refused, saying that he felt it is very hard to leave a place he had been accustomed.
2. The frog that lived in the pond warned his friend to change his residence.
3. Two frogs were neighbors.
4. A few days afterward a heavy wagon passed through the gully and crashed him to death.
5. He told his friend that he would enjoy greater safety from danger and more food.
6. One inhabited a deep pond, the other lived in a gully containing little water and traversed by a country road.
7. He asked his friend to live with him.

Note :  refused (menolak), felt (merasa), very hard (sangat berat), to leave (meninggalkan), accustomed (terbiasa), pond (kolam), warned (memperingatkan), change (mengganti), residence (tempat tinggal), neighbors (bertetangga), heavy wagon (gerobak berat), passed through (melewati), gully (selokan), crashed (menggilas), safety ( aman), more food ( lebih banyak makanan), inhabited (tinggal di), traversed by (dilalui/ dilewati oleh)
04. Choose the best arrangement of sentences to make a good text.1. The wire is connected to a conductive grid burried in the ground nearby.
2. The rod might be an inch in diameter.
3. A lightning rod is actually a simple thing.
4. It connects to a huge piece of copper or aluminum wire that is also an inch in diameter.
5. Do you know what a lightning rod is?
6. It is a pointed metal rod attached to the roof of a building.
