Last week,Mrs Damiri's wife had an accident. Her youngest child, Yusuf, was at home when it happened. He was playing with his new toy car. Suddenly Yusuf heard his mother calling. "Help!Help!" He ran to the kitchen. His mother had burnt herself with some hot cooking oil. She was crying with pain and the pan was on fire. Mr. Damiri had gone to his office. The other children had gone to school.
Yusuf was too small to help his mother, and she was too frightened to speak sensibly to him. But he ran to the neighbour's house and asked his neighbour to come and help his mother. The neighbour soon put out the fire and took Yusuf's mother to the clinic.
When Mr. Damiri came home, his wife told him what had happened. He was very proud of his son. "When you are a man, you will be just like your father," she said.

when it happened= ketika itu (kecelakaan) terjadi
had burnt herself with some hot cooking oil= terbakar/terkena minyak goreng yg panas
crying with pain = berteriak kesakitan
the pan was on fire= penggorengan terbakar
too small to help= terlalu kecil untuk menolong
too frightened to speak= takut mengatakan

soon put out the fire= segera memadamkan api
took Yusuf's mother= membawa ibunya Yusuf
very proud of his son= bangga pada putranya
When you are a man= bila kamu besar
you will be just like your father= kamu akan seperti ayah

Pada tanggal 7 Mei 2010 adalah pengumuman kelulusan siswa SMP dan sederajat. Wah.....ternyata siswa yang lulus di luar dugaan. Banyak deh yang pada gak lulus atau harus mengikuti ujian ulang. Kacian yaaa mereka.
Mudah-mudahan aja pada kesempatan ini mereka bisa berhasil yaah. Sekolah kita udah mengupayakan pelaksanaan pendalaman soal-soal UN, dengan harapan ada perbaikan dan bisa lulus.
